Catholic Schools Inspection (CSI)

Roman Catholic Schools within the United kingdom, are inspected under Section 48 or Section 50 of the Educations Act 2005.

The Catholic Schools Inspectorate (CSI) statutory inspections are explained in Ofsted's School Inspection Handbook.

Inspections are carried out by Diocesan Catholic Schools Inspectors acting on behalf of the Bishop of Middlesbrough. Inspectors represent the Bishop and therefore must be practising Catholics in full communion with the Catholic Church.

The mission of the school is exceptionally and authentically lived out by all and is the embodiment of the outstanding provision for the Catholic life of St Richard’s.
